Your Day at the Track

Expect to spend 3 hours with us at the track to complete your Driving Experience.

Remember to bring your certificate or voucher with you to the track.

There is a track service fee of $25.00 per driver that will be charged at time of registration.

ARRIVAL

After driving through the main gate, please stay to your left and drive all the way around the track to the back gate area and park there.  Walk up to the gate leading to the track.  Please wait behind the concrete barrier around the track until an On Track Racing team member motions for you to cross the track. Please do not attempt to cross the track while race cars are on the track. After crossing the track into the pit area, proceed to the building in the middle of the in-field. This is the registration booth.

REGISTRATION

Go to the window of the registration booth and present your certificate or voucher to the On Track Racing team member.  You MUST have your certificate or voucher in order to register. They will assist you with the paperwork.  Please completely fill out all of the paperwork and return it to the team member at the registration window. You must complete, sign and date the Release and Waiver of Liability in order to complete your drive or ride.  If you are driving, you will need to pay your $25.00 track service fee.  You must also sign the liability release for the track and all members of your party who wish to remain in the pit area must also sign the track liability release. You can purchase the optional Damage Limitation Insurance, a video of your drive or ride, and additional laps at this time.  Once all your paperwork is complete, you can head up to the tent at Pit Road for your driver's orientation class.

ORIENTATION CLASS

Please listen carefully to what our instructors are explaining to you. Their jokes may not be so good, but their information is essential to you having a safe and enjoyable experience.  They will explain the track and proper line, proper driving technique, the safety equipment in the car, what the flags mean, your driving coach (via radio) and what to do in case of an emergency. Please pay attention to our instructors as you are driving a real race car, not a mockup or toy.  Although we attempt to give you all the tools and information you need, accidents can and do happen so please be careful! Now your ready to load up and take a couple laps in one of our support cars to actually see and feel the proper line and driving techniques. You will be dropped back off at the registration booth to get your Safety Equipment.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

At this point, a team member will help you get the proper fitting helmet and race suit.  The certified fire retardant race suit must be worn over your clothes so the size will likely be one shirt size larger than you would normally wear. We suggest you wear comfortable clothes, such as shorts and a short sleeve shirt because the suits tend to be warm, especially in the hotter summer months. You helmet should be just snug on your face, not pushing in or able to move easily around.  Once you have your safety equipment, walk back up to the tent at Pit Road and wait to be called for your experience. You will be called in the order that you signed in for your appointment time to complete your driving experience.

NOW THE ADRENALLINE STARTS TO PUMP!

You will get into the race car with the help of our team and they will again go over all the safety features and give you one last chance to ask questions.  Then your driving coach (via radio) will give you the "go ahead" and AWAY YOU GO!

ONCE COMPLETED, if you also purchased a ride experience, you will return to the tent area and wait to be called for your ride-a-long in one of our specially prepared race cars with our seasoned drivers at near-race speed.

AFTER YOU CATCH YOUR BREATH, you can turn in your safety equipment at the registration booth.

Don't forget to pick-up your video so you can brag to all your friends about driving a real race car!

WAIT UNTIL ALL CARS ARE OFF THE TRACK AND YOU ARE TOLD IT IS SAFE TO CROSS before heading out to your car.

Remember on the drive home that there IS a speed limit!  Please drive safely on your way home!
